Sky Cable to air fights of Ground and Pound VII

THE Ground and Pound VII: Resolution Mixed Martials Arts (MMA) championships held at the Cebu Coliseum last week will be aired in two parts starting tonight at Sky Cable channel 61.

The first part will show four title bouts, headed by the clash between the newly crowned Ground and Pound heavyweight champion Cris-Marvyn “Lindol” Thompson Brooks and Davaoeño wrestling champion Lloyd Anthony “Destroyer” Abucayan.

The three other title bouts between GPC lightweight champion Lordy Rey Yamit of Butuan Extreme MMA and Talisay City Cebu’s Kru Robert Serdone, GPC flyweight champion Victor Torre and Cebuano James Serenio, and Renan Noblefranca and Marjun Porriento for the YawYan Fighting Challenge (YFC) junior featherweight title will also be shown.

The second part of the delayed telecast will be on Sept. 14, which will feature the rest of the fight card. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
