THE Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (Rafi) won an award in the Best Institutional Website category of the 16th Cebu Archdiocesan Mass Media Awards (Camma).
The website – www.rafi.org.ph – features stories with photos about the five programs of the foundation, such as Integrated Development, Micro-finance and Entrepreneurship, Culture and Heritage, Leadership and Citizenship, and Education.
The site also features Rafi’s annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and books, which can be downloaded for free.
A corner is also provided for those who would like to support RAFI’s various programs.
Visitors of the site can connect to RAFI’s social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube and LinkedIn.
This year’s Camma was anchored on the theme “Social Networks Portals of Truth and Faith: New Spaces for Evangelization.”
During the awarding rites held last Sept. 1 at SM Cebu Cinema, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma reminded the crowd to use the social media in a proper and responsible way.
The Camma recognizes individuals, media institutions and online media that promote human and Christian values.
A brainchild of Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Vidal, the prestigious awards was launched in 1992.
