MMDA to motorists: take alternate routes as major roads will undergo repair on long weekend

MANILA, Philippines–Motorists are advised to use alternate routes as major roads will undergo repair over the long weekend (August 27 to 30), the Metro Manila Development Authority said on Friday.

In a statement, MMDA said repair and maintenance on the following roads will be done by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on the long weekend “to minimize inconvenience it might cause motorists and commuters:”

• Edsa – Trinoma (Southbound)

• North Avenue – Veterans Hospital

One lane per area will be closed to traffic on the said dates. All roads will be fully passable by Wednesday (August 31), MMDA said.
