ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines–A suspected Abu Sayyaf member was captured in Maluso, Basilan on Thursday, Colonel Alexander Macario, Task Force Basilan Commander said.
Macario said Harud Jaljalis alias Indal was arrested by elements of the Army’s 14th Special Forces in Sitio Malvar in Barangay Mahayahay.
Also seized from the suspect, who is wanted by law for various offenses was a Carbine rifle and a bandolier of ammunition, he said.
Macario refused to give details on the arrest of Jaljalis but said that the suspect is currently being interrogated.
