Napoles seeks postponement of Sept. 9 arraignment

MANILA, Philippines—Alleged pork barrel mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles asked the Makati City Regional Trial Court to defer her arraignment on Sept. 9 for serious illegal detention.

In a motion, lawyer Lorna Kapunan told the Makati RTC Judge Elmo Alameda to first resolve several pending motions that they have filed.

She said this is apart from the pending petition for certiorari with the Court of Appeals questioning the legality of the arrest warrant issued against her client.
