Santiago to pork-tainted senators: ‘Eat’ and ‘die’

MANILA, Philippines – From Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, an advice to senators being linked to the “pork barrel” scam: “Die.”

“Die,” thundered Santiago when asked on Wednesday what senators who were implicated in the P10 billion pork barrel racket can do now.

“Eat, blank and die,” she added.

And for the rest of senators who were not dragged into the controversy, Santiago said they should just abolish Congress and commit “hara-kiri.”

“Abolish the Congress. Commit mass hara-kiri. You owe it to the Filipino people. We should all wear our Filipino robes and bow in front of TV and hara-kiri ourselves,” she said.

“Because the whole system is just so bad. People get sick . I think this is the country with the most sick population in the whole world.”

“We are really, really sick – morally sick or mentally sick. The higher the positions, the higher the mental sickness,” Santiago added.
