Isabela town village council head, wife dead in gun attack

ANGADANAN, Isabela — The head of the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) in this town and his wife were shot and killed by two men in Barangay (village) Loria here on Wednesday morning, police said.

Superintendent Manuel Bringas, Isabela police operations chief, said Rodel Pastor, Loria barangay chair and an ex-officio member of the town council, and his wife, Lailanie, were on their way home from a wake in the village when two men on a motorcycle fired at their Toyota Hilux at about 3 a.m.

Senior Inspector Salvador Mangulab, Angadanan police chief, said Pastor had no known enemies.
