Running is the most natural thing in the world, but many of those trying to get into this sport need a little help to get started on the right foot.

For three years now, Runnr Academy has been helping new runners get into the sport by arming them with knowledge about the correct running form, conditioning exercises for runners, nutrition and hydration as well as common running injuries and how to prevent them.

Running form and hydration and nutrition classes are handled by seasoned runner Raffy Osumo, conditioning exercises are taught by Coach Pio Solon. The lecture on running injuries is handled by runner, Dr. Renald Ramiro, who also heads the Rehab Med. Department of Cebu Doctors Hospital.

The classes are held every Wednesday for five weeks. The classes are divided into two sessions. The first hour is dedicated to the lecture, while the second hour is a 5K paced group run inside the Cebu Business Park. Students get a free snack and water after every run and a certificate of completion after completing the five-week program. The classes are absolutely free.
