MANILA, Philippines—Isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms are predicted on Tuesday, but on the whole fair weather is seen throughout the country, the state weather bureau said.

The warm weather in Luzon is caused by a ridge of high pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Consequently, Metro Manila is seen to enjoy fair weather until Saturday, Sept. 7.

On Monday, the highest temperature in the metropolis was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius at 1:50 p.m.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the northwest to northeast will prevail over northern Luzon, Pagasa said.

Pagasa said the coastal waters throughout the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate.
