Construction worker electrocuted

A 35-year-old construction worker was killed Monday after he was accidentally electrocuted in Pasig City.

Chief Insp. Oscar Boyles, the city’s investigation chief, identified the victim as Yoling Ibatan. Ibatan was completing a paint job at SM Hypermart on Julia Vargas Avenue when he accidentally got tangled in some electrical wires.

Ibatan, who worked for Qualitech, was electrocuted and rushed to The Medical City where he was declared dead on arrival.—Kristine Felisse Mangunay
