A NEOPHYTE policeman is facing investigation after he allegedly pointed a gun at a bus conductor in barangay Poblacion, Toledo City, southern Cebu.

PO1 Carlos Barcenas, assigned in Ronda town, Cebu, could face administrative or criminal charges depending on the result of the investigation, said Senior Supt. Patrocinio Comendador Jr., chief of the Cebu provincial police.

Comendador ordered the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch to investigate the gun-toting incident.

Police said Barcenas pointed a gun at Richard Macapaz during a traffic altercation at 7:30 p.m. last Monday.

Police said Barcenas was a backrider of a motorcycle that stopped at the side of the road.

The bus was heading to a terminal when Macapaz shouted at the motorcycle to move aside to avoid getting hit.

It was then that Barcenas drew a gun and pointed at the bus helper.

Another policeman, who happened to be one of the bus passengers, pacified Barcenas.

Barcenas calmed down when Hoyohoy, investigator of the Asturias police, introduced himself as a policeman. CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
