The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Spiking Jaguars kept the pressure up on the rest of the field to catch up to them as they won their third game in a row with a straight sets win over last year’s runners-up University of the Visayas (UV) in the 2013 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. men’s volleyball tournament yesterday at the Aznar Coliseum.

The wards of legendary head coach Grace Antigua did not play around and flaunted their skill and strength in handing UV their second loss in a row, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21, while reigning over the rest of the competition with their clean 3-0 (win-loss) record.

Meanwhile, the defending champions University of San Carlos (USC) got back on the winning track as it bucked a first set defeat to win over the Southwestern University (SWU) Spiking Cobras in exciting fashion, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 29-27.
