THE LEXMARK Stallions and Calltek Trojans continued to pile up wins, securing their eighth win at the expense of their foes last Saturday in the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The Stallions bucked a slow start to defeat the listless Talleco Bandits, 78-57, while the Trojans led from start to finish to dispose of the Kyocera Frontiers, 52-40.
The Stallions saw themselves down by six points at the end of the first period, 13-19, but went full throttle in the next periods especially in the fourth stanza where they outscored the Bandits, 24-11.
Jake Pia led all scorers with 18 points, Niel Tiempo tallied 12, while Franco Angelo Cipriano scored 11 as the Stallions improved to 8-2 (win-loss).
Mark Matidios scored 13 points and Ronald Tabotabo had 13 for the Bandits, who remained winless in eight games.
The Trojans, on the other hand, were hardly challenged in hiking their record to 8-2, getting solid numbers from Christian Judilla, who piled up 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and a block.
Jan Pierre Gellez backed Judilla with 13 points, six boards, three blocked shots, two steals and a couple of assists.
Winston Stephen Panal was the lone digit scorer for Kyocera with 11 markers as the Frontiers dropped to 1-8.
Meanwhile, the Telstra-Teletech Titans scored a default win over the SSI Warriors.
