THE PERPETUAL Help Altas and the Jose Rizal University (JRU) Heavy Bombers look to keep their spots in the Final Four when they battle separate opponents in the 89th NCAA men’s basketball tournament today at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Altas are currently in third place in the standings with a 7-2 (win-loss) record but will be put to the test today when they tangle with the Arellano University Chiefs.

The Heavy Bombers, on the other hand, are at 5-4 and will take on the St. Benilde Blazers to try and hold off close pursuers in the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals and the San Sebastian Stags.

The Generals and the Stags are just a game behind at 4-5. The Altas, meanwhile, are aiming to catch up with the league-leading Letran Knights (9-1) and the defending champions San Beda Red Lions (8-2). /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
