MANILA, Philippines—The transfer of Janet Lim-Napoles could happen between 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, a high-ranking police officer said.
“We received a directive at 10 p.m. yesterday (Saturday) to secure the perimeter of the Makati City Jail between 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.,” said Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban Jr., Makati Police Chief in a radio interview early Sunday.
At around 3:30 a.m., a long convoy carrying members of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF), a coaster and an ambulance entered the Makati City Jail.
Napoles’ request to transfer to Fort Sto. Domingo in Santa Rosa City in Laguna was granted by the Makati Regional Trial Court on Friday.
