‘Charge Morato’
A lawyer on Thursday asked the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to charge former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chair Manuel “Manoling” Morato with four counts of criminal offenses for alleged electioneering in the 2010 polls, saying that the latter’s defenses were “grossly misplaced.”
In his reply to Morato’s counteraffidavit on Thursday, lawyer Bonifacio Alentajan said that Morato was clearly liable under the law.
He said that Morato had even admitted in his counteraffidavit that “‘Dial M’ was conceived to advocate the causes of the PCSO…”
