At least 14 families were left homeless in a fire that razed a Caloocan City neighborhood Saturday morning.
FO2 Noel Soriano said the blaze began at 9:35 a.m. from the two-story house of a Remy Reforma, 69, of Maria Clara Street, Barangay 120.
The fire spread quickly among homes mostly made of light materials.
Firemen took about an hour to put it under control, but had difficulty penetrating the area due to the narrow passageways.
There were no reported deaths or injuries, and the cost of the damage was placed at P300,000.
An initial investigation showed that the fire originated from the ceiling of Reforma’s house and may have been caused by an electrical malfunction. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
