ORGANIZERS of the Hunat Sugbo Run will now be shifting to triathlon. And they will be bringing the annual event to the scenic town of Oslob in southern Cebu.
Yesterday, organizers launched the Hunat Sugbo Triathlon of the Cebu Parklane International Hotel, which is slated Oct. 6 starting and finishing at the Heritage Park of the town known for whale shark watching.
The event will feature a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40k bike and 10k run. The swim route passes through barangay Tan-Awan, where the famous whale sharks can be found.
“We are very thankful that Parklane chose Oslob to host the event,” Oslob mayor Ronald Guaren said. “We assure a safe and secure race.”
“This event aims to continue Parklane Hotel’s advocacy to promote a healthy lifestlye and promote the beauty of Cebu,” said Parklane General Manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan.
Seven age categories will be offered in the male division and three in the female category. There will also be a sprint category that consists of a 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run course.
