Picpa, IBP-Gwapo to duel for IBP hoop crown

THE Yoly Meso-led Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) crushed Young Lawyers Association of Cebu (YLAC), 75-64, to advance to the finals of the IBP-Wednesday Club basketball tournament.

PICPA led, 20-15 in the opening period and 36-28 at the half before erecting a, 56-41 advantage after three periods.

YLAC however, came alive in the fourth and outscored PICPA, 23-19 but fell short of stealing the win.

PICPA will face IBP-Gwapo in the final slated this Wednesday.

Lito Ortiz and Andre Tocao led PICPA with 15 points each while Cris Ang paced YLAC with a game-high 18 markers.
