MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police said Wednesday the P10-million reward for information leading to the arrest of fugitive Janet Lim-Napoles will be of help to authorities.

CIDG chief Superintendent Frank Uyami Jr. said the reward money will further motivate the public in helping authorities find Napoles, and her brother Reynald “Jojo” Lim.

The bounty for Napoles’ arrest was earlier announced by President Benigno Aquino III during the 8th East Asia Conference on Competition Law and Policy at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel in Pasay City.

He, however, added that authorities have yet to discuss the bounty for Lim’s arrest.

“Mas maganda yon kasi (That’s better as) it will motivate the public more in helping look for Napoles and kapatid niya (her brother),” Uyami said.

The siblings have been hiding for almost three weeks since an arrest warrant was issued against them for the illegal detention of Benhur Luy, the principal whistle-blower in the supposed P10-billion pork barrel racket that Napoles allegedly masterminded.
