Landmine explodes near school in Davao del Norte
MANILA, Philippines – An explosion occurred near a school in Davao del Norte early Thursday, police said.
The incident happened at 5:45 a.m. when an improvised landmine approximately 10 meters away from Tibungol Elementary School in Panabo City exploded, said Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman.
No one was reported hurt but the school stage was slightly damaged, Cruz said.

Fifty meters of electrical wires were recovered from the area, he said.
Investigation on the cause of explosion is ongoing, said Cruz.
