2 fires hit Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines – Fire hit a residential area and furniture warehouse separately in Valenzuela, an official said Thursday.

The fire in the furniture warehouse at the 1st industrial compound in Don Pablo subdivision Rincon Road, Malinta Valenzuela started at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday and was declared under control at 12:26 a.m. Thursday, said Bureau of Fire (BFP) Valenzuela Fire Officer 1 Januel Santillas.

Santillas said the Bureau of Fire Protection was still investigating the cause of blaze.

Fire broke out from the second floor of a house at 1070 Kapalad Street in Balangkas Village at 9:37 a.m. Thursday and reached second alarm 10 minutes after, said Santillas.

Fire out was declared at 9:59 a.m., Santillas said, adding the cause has yet to be determined.

He said there was no reported casualty.
