Firm’s first customers turn out to be robbers

Three thieves made off with P26,000 in cash when they held up a money remittance and courier company in Valenzuela City on Sunday morning.

The Valenzuela police said the robbery at the LBC branch on McArthur Highway in Barangay (village) Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, happened shortly after it opened at 9:30 a.m.

The courier company’s employees told the police that the heist was carried out by three men on a motorcycle.

Once inside the establishment, they divested the employees of their valuables at gunpoint.

Not content with their haul, the three herded the employees into a toilet and took the company’s earnings, estimated to be around P26,000, before leaving.

Despite a dragnet operation, the police failed to arrest the robbers.

Investigators said they were examining the footage taken by security cameras in the area to help them identify the three men.
