FOR once, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama and the City Council are together.

They are closing ranks to join the “Run for Jack”, a five-kilometer benefit run on August 31.

Organized by the city government and Cebu City Sports Commission, the event aims to raise funds for former councilor Sylvan Jakosalem. He suffered a relapse of a parasite infection that affected his brain last year and remains house-bound after several months in the hospital.
