More than 30,000 Filipinos set the world record for the largest human rainbow on Sept. 18, 2004. Organized by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as part of its centennial celebration, students, faculty and alumni formed a seven-colored “rainbow” at Quirino Grandstand in Manila.  Recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, it broke the record set by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2002 when it formed a human rainbow with 11,273 participants.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
