THE complete line-up of boxers to be featured in the first staging of ‘Idol’ boxing series of the ALA Promotions this Saturday at the Escalante City Coliseum in Escalante City, Negros Occidental was finally revealed.

Dubbed as “Philippines vs Indonesia,” the series’ maiden offering will not only feature two of the best young prospects of the ALA Boxing Gym namely Mark Vincent Bernaldez and Melvin Gumban who will face tough Indonesian foes, but will also showcase six more equally exciting bouts for Escalante’s rabid boxing fans.

One of the six bouts will feature Tagbilaran City’s Jessel Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo who will go up against Bacolod City’s John Rey Melligen in four rounds under the 126lbs division.

The undefeated Magsayo (2-0, 2KOs) recently shocked the local boxing scene when he scored a first-round technical knockout win over Jamjam Ungon in last August’s Pinoy Pride XXI at the posh Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila.
