A MULTI-AGENCY team arrived yesterday to inspect Cebu City’s facilities as part of the government’s preparations for the 2015 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec).
The team comprised of 32 members will conduct a two-day inspection of Cebu City which is considered as a possible venue for pre-Apec programs.
Provincial Information Officer Ethel Natera said the inspection team will check the airport, hotels, traffic, security and the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).
“They will inspect all the major cities as possible venues,” she added.
The inspection team is comprised of officials from the Departments of Tourism, Finance and Foreign Affairs, the Philippine National Police and the Office of Civil Defense among others.
Aside from the inspection, Cebu City will also prepare slides for presentation to the inspection team. There were already two events scheduled for the Apec.
This includes the “Senior Officer Meeting” on August 2015 with 3,500 participants and the “Finance Minister Meeting” on September 2015 with 300 participants.
