Trader gunned down in Talisay

A 35-YEAR-OLD businessman was waylaid by motorcycle-riding gunmen at the South Road Properties in barangay Lawaan 1, Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Jason Andre Ong, a resident of sitio Sombira, Lawaan I, Talisay City. The victim was engaged in the buying and selling of cars.

Police said Ong was driving his Alto Suzuki car Sunday afternoon when two men onboard a motorcycle drove beside him and fired shots.

The victim died on the spot due to gunshot wounds in the chest and right arm.

Police discounted robbery as motive for the attack since the victim’s belongings were intact.
