ALL is set for this Sunday’s 8th University Run 3-Bridge Challenge.
Around 3,300 runners have already enlisted for the race, which starts and ends at the Cebu Doctors’ University campus at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
The race offers 25-kilometer, 13k, 6k and 3k distances. Runners in the 25k will have to pass through the Old Mactan Bridge, the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and the Cansaga Bridge.
The organizing committee, headed by Dr. Potenciano “Yong” Larrazabal III and race director Joel Juarez, have already made sure that all bases are covered with regards to the safety of the runners.
Highlighting the race will be the presence of a BMW X1 crossover vehicle that will serve as the lead car for the participants. The X1 will be mounted with a digital clock to allow the leading runner to monitor his time.
Registration is still ongoing at the Run For Sight office at the CDU Hospital and at the CDU Campus. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
