Lawyer wants typewriter, meds in jail
The lawyer arrested for alleged serious illegal detention of three minors in Talisay City wants the judge handling his case as well as all family courts in Cebu City to inhibit.
Lawyer Raul Sesbreño, 76, also asked for a typewriter as well as medical equipments like an oxygen tank, dextrose and medicines for his heart ailment while inside the Talisay City Jail.
A week after he was arrested, lawyer Raul Sesbreño appeared in the court and conveyed a series of requests.
“I was suddenly apprehended and all my office equipments are in Manila. May I be allowed to use a typewriter for me to type my pleadings,” he asked the court. He is also planning on asking the court to place him at a hospital instead of the jail while the case against him is heard./Reporter Ador Vincent Mayol

A 25-year-old production crewmember of ABS-CBN Cebu suffered a gunshot would on his right leg while onboard the television network’s vehicle which is about to enter the TV station’s compound in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City about 2:40 a.m. yesterday.
Noeh Valle Bumarlong, a resident of barangay Casili, Consolacion town was immediately brought to the Cortes Memorial Hospital in Mandaue City.
