MANILA, Philippines – Seven people have been killed as tropical storm “Maring” continued to dump rain in the country Tuesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Tuesday.
In a media briefing, Major Rey Balido, NDRRMC spokesman, said the new fatalities from Central Luzon reportedly drowned.
Meanwhile, 11people were injured while four were reported missing.
The number of affected persons also swelled to about 600,000 in the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa and National Capital Region.
