Rainfall alert in Metro Manila lowered to yellow

MANILA, Philippines – Rainfall alert was lowered to yellow from orange Monday noon in Metro Manila by the state weather bureau as rains by southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm “Maring” (international name Trami) continued.

Flooding was expected as moderate to heavy rainfall continued to affect Metro Manila , Zambales, Bataan , Pampanga , Rizal , Tarlac , NuevaEcija , Bulacan  and Quezon most likely for the next three hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued at 12:15 p.m.

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rainfall, was still affecting Cavite, Laguna , Batangas and Occidental Mindoro  and most likely to continue for the next three hours.

Red rainfall alert was issued Sunday night and was extended thrice early Monday. At about 9a.m., it was downgraded to orange.
