2 ‘trespassers’ flee after killing caretaker of car dealer in QC

Two men are being sought for shooting dead the employee of a used-car dealer who scolded them for trespassing on Saturday night in Quezon City.

Ruben Garcia and Emilio Santillan are accused of killing Joseph Pasana, 44, one of the caretakers of NEO Auto Depot on Mindanao Avenue in Barangay (village) Pasong Tamo.

The police said the duo went frequently to the compound where the establishment was located to look at the vehicles for sale.

PO3 Erickson Isidro of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said Pasana was shot at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Earlier, he and another coworker were inside the compound when Garcia and Santillan suddenly entered the area. Surprised at the intrusion, Pasana confronted the two men and told them that they had closed for the day.

According to the case investigator, the two men told Pasana that they were regular customers so there was no harm in allowing them to look around. Pasana, however, refused and turned them away, leading to an argument which ended when Garcia and Santillan both took out a gun and shot him.

They then escaped as Pasana’s coworker took him to Commonwealth General Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival due to multiple gunshot wounds.
