Metro traffic light so far despite rains – MMDA

MANILA, Philippines—Traffic was generally light in most parts of Metro Manila despite brief rain showers in several areas Sunday afternoon, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

Emma Loristo of MMDA-Metrobase said traffic on the northbound lane in the Pasay-Taft Avenue area was moderate.

Traffic was also moderate in both lanes of the Cubao service road in Quezon City.

Traffic at the Cubao underpass was fast moving, she added.

“Flow of vehicles in all other areas was good,” she said.

She added that traffic was smooth on C5 Road, Commonwealth Avenue (going to Fairview and Elliptical), Quezon Avenue and España.

In the Nagtahan area and Dimasalang, traffic was described by the MMDA as “good.”

No flooded areas in the National Capital Region were reported so far as of late afternoon Sunday, Roger Nicodemus of MMDA-Flood Control Unit said.
