MANILA, Philippines—The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced Sunday that the number coding scheme is lifted in Quezon City on Monday as the city celebrates its foundation day.
“No coding in QC tomorrow, August 19,” MMDA said in a Twitter post, adding that the celebration of the Quezon City Day was declared a holiday.
If the number coding rule would be in effect, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 are not allowed to travel in major thoroughfares.
