Motorcycle rider shot in Caloocan road rage

MANILA, Philippines—A motorcycle rider was critically injured when he was shot in an alleged road rage incident in Caloocan City Thursday evening.

Nestor Llarin, a 35-year-old call center agent from Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon, was rushed to the MCU Hospital after being shot by a still unidentified man, who was on another motorcycle.

An investigation showed that the suspect had lost his cool over the victim’s driving and they ended up arguing along Edsa in Bagong Barrio at around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses told police that the suspect shouted at Llarin, saying, “Ulupong ka! ‘Di ka marunong magmaneho! (You viper! You don’t know how to drive!)” then shot him.

Llarin was rushed by witnesses to the hospital while the suspect fled on his motorcycle.
