Local and overseas jobs fair tomorrow

A WHOLE DAY local and overseas jobs fair will be held tomorrow at the old building of the Sacred Heart School for Boys along Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.

The jobs fair is spearheaded by the School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership and Service (Skills), in cooperation with the Department of Manpower Development and Placement.

It is organized to further Skills’ advocacy efforts to provide graduates with job placement assistance and to support the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (Tesda) mission for institutionalized jobs bridging program to maximize employment for all the tech-voc graduates.

There are a total of 1,060 vacancies available for local employment and 9,964 for overseas employment.

There will be job openings for carpenters, welders, construction workers, drivers, heavy equipment operators, nurses, service crew, delivery riders, household cleaners, engineers, production workers, etc. The BPO sectors will also be looking for call center agents.
