DIGOS CITY—Police on Tuesday launched another anti-illegal drug operation here, arresting at least two suspects in compliance with Davao del Sur Gov. Claude Bautista’s target to eradicate the drug menace in four months.
Senior Supt. Michael John Dubria, Southern Mindanao police intelligence chief, said police are taking seriously Bautista’s challenge for law enforcers to dismantle the network of shabu (metamphetamine hydrochloride) trading here.
“There will be never ending buy-bust operations until the last drug pusher in Davao del Sur is captured,” said Dubria.
Senior Police Officer 3 Maxwell Roble said the latest arrest was that of Michael Racasa, 19, a resident of Luna-Tandang Sora.
Racasa yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu during a raid by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the local police’s Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force on his home past 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Extension was also arrested during a buy-bust operation.
Dubria said police are establishing the trail of illegal drugs that are believed to be coming from North Cotabato and Maguindanao. Orlando B.
