MANILA, Philippines — A 16-year old student was stabbed dead by still unidentified suspects in Manila Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.

Police Officer 2 Crispin Ocampo of Manila Police District’s Homicide Division said there were three men involved in the killing of John Philip Malla, a freshman student from the National Teachers College, at Maria Cartina Street near Mabini Elementary School in Quiapo around 8:47 p.m.

Malla was rushed to Ospital ng Sampaloc but was declared dead on arrival after sustaining 17 stab wounds in different parts of his body, a radio report said.
