AFC sets another C-license course

IN AN EFFORT to get all of the coaches here in Cebu licensed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Cebu Football Association (CFA) is planning to hold another AFC C-License Coach Certificate Course before the year ends and an AFC B-License Coach Certificate Course by next year.

This is to get ready with Philippine Football Federation’s (PFF) plan of banning coaches to handle a team without a license by next year. CFA has 82 member clubs, schools and teams and yet only 17 coaches have their C-licenses.

Raffy Musni, one of CFA’s board members, said that not all 17 are even active coaches.

National coach Marlon Maro, who heads the coaches education department of the PFF, said that an inactivity of two years will cause a coach to lose his C-license.

Aside from that, the PFF is also offering a National Coaching Course Certificate as an introductory course, especially for parents who want to try coaching. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
