WITH THE Governor’s Cup just a day away from opening, the Petron Blaze Boosters remained undeterred in their bid to shake up their roster as they traded Dorian Peña and a 2013 second round draft pick to Barako Bull in exchange for Doug Kramer.
It has been a busy offseason for San Miguel Corporation’s flagship squad. Petron first replaced head coach Olsen Racela with Gee Abanilla before trading Jay Washington to GlobalPort for power forward Jason Deutchman and successive second round draft picks in 2016 and 2017 in a blockbuster deal that also involved two other squads.
The Governor’s Cup kicks off tomorrow with games at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, pitting Air21 against GlobalPort at 5:15 p.m. and Rain or Shine vs San Mig Coffee at 7:30 p.m. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
