No suspension of number-coding scheme Monday– MMDA

MANILA, Philippines –The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reminded motorists that the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the number-coding scheme is not lifted Monday.

MMDA issued the reminder in a Twitter post as many Twitter users wondered whether or not the coding scheme has been lifted following the suspension of classes and work in different parts of Metro Manila because of typhoon “Labuyo.”

“Number coding is not lifted today (Monday),” the MMDA said.

Every Monday, vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 are not allowed in major thoroughfares.
