MANILA, Philippines – Two members of a West African Drug syndicate were arrested by drug enforcers at a food chain in Quezon City, a Radyo Inquirer report said Tuesday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Samuel Egbo, a 34-year old Nigerian; and Hyun Ji Choi, a 22 year-old Korean.
The report, quoting PDEA director Jiggs Montellano, said the two foreigners victimized Elizabeth Batain, a Filipino who was executed in China on March 30 over charges of drug trafficking.
Montellano said Egbo sent Choi to the Philippines to serve as a drug mule.
Half a kilogram of cocaine worth 2.5 million pesos, credit cards, and visas were seized from the suspects.
