MANILA, Philippines–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reminded motorists that its Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), or Number Coding Scheme, will be lifted in Metro Manila on Friday as the country observes the Eid’l Fitr.

In a Twitter Advisory, MMDA said the lifting of the number scheme will include the cities of Makati, Las Piñas, and Pasay.

“Number Coding is automatically lifted metrowide during regular holidays, including Eid’l Fitr,” it said.

If the number rule would be in effect, vehicles with license plates ending in 9 and 0 are barred from travelling in major thoroughfares.
