Bridge in Maguindanao bombed
SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao—Suspected members of a breakaway rebel group bombed Wednesday afternoon a bridge in Datu Piang town.
Police said followers of Ameril Umbra Kato of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters detonated a bomb at the bridge in the village of Lintukan in the town of Datu Piang at around 5 p.m.
He said nobody was wounded in the latest attack but that the bridge was slightly damaged.
On Wednesday morning, seven soldiers were wounded after an improvised explosive device went off in Nabundas village in Shariff Saydona town at about 9a.m.—Jeoffrey Maitem; with reports from Frances Mangosing, INQUIRER.net
