Rains in E. Visayas, Mindanao due to ITCZ—Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will have light to moderate rains and thunderstorms as an intertropical convergence zone is affecting Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

“Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

“Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast over the rest of Luzon and of Visayas and from the east to northeast over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said.
