Taxi firm sues cabbie for car theft

/ 01:56 AM August 07, 2013

A taxi driver ended up behind bars in Quezon City for alleged car theft on a complaint from his cab company, after he failed to return the vehicle for 10 days.

Richard Billones, 24, was arrested at a house on Luzon Avenue Sunday morning, where the police also recovered a white Toyota Vios (TXP-435) belonging to Siycha Transport Corp.

The suspect, who was hired April 23, last took the cab out of the company garage in Barangay (village) Sto. Domingo on July 25, police said.

The complaint also said the driver did not remit around P12,000 in earnings to the company.—Julie M. Aurelio
