Death toll in Cotabato blast climbs to 9 as another child dies

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — The death toll in Monday’s car bomb attack here rose to nine as another victim, a 5-year-old girl, died Tuesday night while being treated in a hospital here, the authorities said.

The victim, Jeanice Menak, succumbed to her injuries at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Her brother Jade, 7, was also among those killed on Monday.

The Menak children and their parents were supposedly on vacation here from London.
