Trojans, Stallions extend streak

The Calltek Trojans and the Lexmark Stallions kept their searing streak alive after they blasted separate opponents last Saturday in the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

The Trojans padded their winning run to seven with an 82-59 trashing of the Sykes Executive Boutique Lycans, while the Stallions stretched their own winning run to five via a 78-70 triumph over the Sykes Pioneers.

Christian Judilla fired 23 points, while Mark Louise Gellez added 13 as the Trojans continued to pile up wins since starting the tournament with a 52-78 loss to the Aegis Vipers last June 9.

Calltek ended the first quarter with a 25-19 lead and, after scoring just eight points in the next period, the Trojans went on fire in the third canto where they put the game away with a hot 30-10 rally.

Gestoni Santos piled up 17 points, Andrew Thomas John Hilvano added 14, while Henderson Go had 11 for the Lycans, who remained winless after five games.

On the other hand, Ian Froi Divinagracia towed the Stallions to their sixth win in seven outings with his 22-point output.

Jake Pia chipped in 15, Siegfred Ofonda had 14, while  Vill Duero contributed 12 for the Stallions, who haven’t tasted a loss since bowing to the Accenture Sharks, 50-58, last June 23.

Meanwhile, the Teleperformance Lions easily bagged their fourth win with a default win over the Teletech-Telstra Titans.
