The chief of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Thursday implemented the first of a series of reshuffles as part of his mission to find the right man for the job at hand.
Affected by the reorganization were 15 police officials whose performance were assessed in terms of crime prevention, the arrest of wanted persons and the general situation in their area.
QCPD director Chief Supt. Richard Albano clarified, however, that the revamp did not mean these officials were remiss in their duties. “This is not to punish or reward them. Rather, this is matching the right man [with] the right position,” he said.
“We also want to give them a chance to experience and handle other duties like operations, investigation and staff duties,” Albano added.
Covered by the revamp are the following officials:
Cubao police station commander Supt. Ronnie Montejo, who will be replaced by Supt. Ramon Pranada who leaves behind his post at the Batasan station.
Supt. Eleazar Matta, formerly of the Fairview station, who will take over the Batasan station.
Outgoing District Investigation Detective Management Division (DIDMD) head Supt. Dennis de Leon, who will be the chief of the Fairview station.
Chief Insp. Ariel Capocao of the District Operations and Plans Division (DOPD), who will take over the DIDMD.
Supt. Dionisio Bartolome, who will be DOPD chief as well as head of the District Special Operations Unit.
Galas police station commander Supt. Norberto Babagay, who will be moved to the Novaliches police station, taking over from its officer in charge, Chief Insp. Leo Escat.
Outgoing Project 4 police station Supt. Limuel Obon, who will be transferred to the Galas police station.
Former District Health Service Unit (DHSU) Supt. Victor Pagulayan, who will head the Project 4 station while Chief Insp. Jerome dela Cruz will take charge of the DHSU.
